We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at the Poor People’s Pub (at the corner of 153 and Witchtrot Road in Sanbornville).
Social time begins at 6:00 PM, with the meeting running from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
Since 1954, the Wakefield Lions Club has been serving our neighbors and strengthening our community through hands-on volunteer work and local support.
We’re part of Lions Clubs International—the largest service organization in the world—but our focus is right here in Wakefield and the surrounding villages.
Our members come together to meet real needs, support local families, and make our town a better place to live.
Over the years, our club has:
Supported vision screenings and eye care for children and adults.
Assisted local food pantries and school nutrition programs.
Helped youth through scholarships, recreation support, and educational initiatives.
Provided transportation and assistance for community members in need.
Participated in environmental cleanups and recycling efforts.
Joined in town events that bring people together.
While our projects evolve with the needs of the community, our commitment to service never changes. Every fundraiser, every volunteer hour, and every act of kindness helps build a stronger Wakefield.
Our Motto: We Serve.
Our Promise: To continue supporting Wakefield and the surrounding towns with compassion, dedication, and community spirit.
